Why Your Shipping Labels are Blurry

Nothing is worse than printing a batch of labels only to find them unreadable. Here is why it happens and how to fix it.

Low Resolution Source

If your original PDF is low quality, your print will be too. Always download the highest quality label provided by your carrier.

Incorrect Print Speed

Printing too fast can cause the thermal head to not heat up enough, leading to faint or blurry prints. Try slowing down the print speed in your printer settings.

Dirty Printer Head

Over time, adhesive and dust can build up on the printer head. Clean it regularly with an alcohol wipe.

Dithering Settings

Check your printer driver settings. Sometimes "None" is better than "Halftone" for barcodes.
